Level 1:

Learn to Belly Dance to exotic rhythms from the Middle East. Open to the complete novice and students with less than one year of experience, this course will focus on Belly Dance technique and movement through isolations and dance combinations. This ancient dance form utilizes all the small muscle groups deep in the core and spine leaving your body supple and limber. A short choreography will be taught to demonstrate how the movements can be linked together.

 

Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm

Session runs for 10weeks

Commencing February 4th , 2010

Level 2 & 3:

Learn rich combinations of movements and how to combine or layer isolated movements from your beginner repertoire. Open to students with a minimum of one year of experience or by instructors consent following an audition, this course will focus on Belly Dance technique and movement through isolations and dance combinations. A choreography will be taught to demonstrate how the movements can be artistically applied to the rich rhythms of the Middle East.

Helpful Registration Reminders

* Please note your registration is not considered official until tuition payment is received.

* To ensure you get a position in a class remember to register early!

* Please note no refunds will be issued unless there is a valid medical condition accompanied by a doctors note, or class is cancelled. Five dollars will be deducted from the refund if payment was made via PayPal.

* If you are paying the early bird fee, the tuition payment must be received prior to the early bird deadline to be accepted.

What to Bring to Class

*What to wear? Any athletic clothing that isn't too loose such as yoga pants and tops is ideal.

*A yoga mat to warm up and cool down on.

*A water bottle to keep hydrated.

*A hip scarf (Can be purchased on the first class from your instructor).

*We usually go barefoot, however you can also wear socks or pink ballet slippers. If you require more arch support, please talk to your instructor as we will modify some exercises for you.
